This Privacy Policy explains how Cian Brady trading as BRDY ("BRDY", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the BRDY Performance mobile application, web application, or associated services (collectively, the "Service").

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, and applicable Apple and Google platform requirements.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address
• Your password (stored in encrypted form by our authentication provider)

Match and Coaching Data

Data you create within the app about matches, players, teams, tactics, and training sessions is stored locally on your device and, optionally, synced to secure cloud storage tied to your account. This includes:

• Team and player names you enter
• Match events, statistics, and analytics you record
• Notes, tactics diagrams, and training plans you create

Subscription Data

Subscription and payment processing is handled directly by Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via Google Play). We never see or store your payment card details, bank account information, or full billing address. We do receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple/Google to unlock premium features in the app.

Technical Data

We may collect basic technical information necessary for the app to function, such as device type, operating system version, and error logs when the app crashes. This data is not used to identify you personally.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

• Your location or GPS data
• Your contacts, calendar, or photos (except photos you deliberately upload)
• Health, medical, or biometric data
• Advertising identifiers for third-party ad networks
• Data from any social media accounts

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Authenticate your access and sync your data across devices
• Send transactional emails (password reset, account confirmation)
• Improve app stability by reviewing anonymous error logs
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Under GDPR, we process your data on the following legal bases:

• Contract: Processing necessary to provide the Service you signed up for
• Legitimate interest: Improving app stability and security
• Consent: Any optional features you explicitly enable
• Legal obligation: Compliance with tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — authentication and secure cloud data storage (privacy policy)
• Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution and subscription payment processing
• Netlify — web hosting for the app's static content (privacy policy)

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in secure cloud databases hosted within the European Economic Area (EEA). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

Data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's built-in security (Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode).

While we take reasonable precautions to secure your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by GDPR.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and match data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. transaction records for tax purposes).

8. Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct any inaccurate personal data
• Erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — object to certain types of processing
• Restriction — request that we limit how we use your data
• Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie)

9. Children's Privacy

BRDY Performance is intended for use by GAA coaches, managers, and adult participants. The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we will notify users through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
